Prize Robert Bing

The Robert Bing Prize is awarded from the fund established by the neurologist
Robert Bing (1878-1956) and is given, in accordance with the stipulations of the
founder's testament, to "scientists who have done outstanding work which
has helped in the recognition, treatment and cure of neurological
diseases“, who will be encouraged by this prize to do further research in this
field.
 
Eligible for the prize are younger scientists and physicians (up to 45 years,
preferentially Swiss), who have promoted as authors of excellent publications
recognition, treatment and cure of neurological disorders.  
 
The prize is awarded as a rule every two years and endowed with prize money
of CHF 50’000.–. Nominations in German, French or English may be
submitted by heads of institutes or by appropriate academic institutions.
 
Proposals and applications must be accompanied by a cover letter, a curriculum vitae (max. 2 pages), a 1 page summary in English, from which the significance of the research work is apparent, letter(s) of recommendation, and a complete list of publications.

The Robert Bing Prize 2010 was awarded at the annual meeting of the Swiss Society of Neuroscience, March 13, 2010 in Lausanne.

The next deadline for submission is August 31, 2012.
