Vulnerable patient groups

Vulnerable patient groups, that is groups of patients who require special protection, include but are not limited to persons who have cognitive impairments, are dependent on care, have mental illnesses or are currently in correctional facilities.

In order to meet the specific needs and handle the particular challenges associated with vulnerable patient groups, the Central Ethics Committee addresses sensitive areas and reviews the elaboration of guidelines and recommendations.

The following downloads provide assistance in working with vulnerable patient groups. Below, you will also find an overview of topics that are addressed in greater detail.
